In the juniors' dojo competition which was arranged on 10.11.2012 there were altogether approximately 50 participants from four different Karate Clubs located in Oulu and Rovaniemi. Representing Bushido Karate School there were four keen juniors that made it honorably through the tough two weeks of training and the competition itself. The program consisted of clothespin Kumite and Kata competitions, of which kumite had been divided to 5 age groups and kata to 2 age groups.
Three brave warriors from Bushido Karate School joined the clothespin kumite age group 11-12 and 1 to the age group 13. We achieved success in both groups: Joonas Konttila made it to become the winner of the first mentioned group, as Eeli Hietala and Joel Loikkanen took the third and fourth places. In the age group of 13 year olds, Ronja-Riina Saukkoriipi claimed the first place. Congratulations to every participant for their great performances!
The Kata competition was divided to 2 age groups: 7-10 year olds and 11-13 year olds. Every competitor of Bushido Karate School participated the 11-13 year olds' group. The serie was of hard competition and to the Bronze reached Joonas Konttila. Every participant of our club did their best but the elimination was ruthless and this time the effort sufficed to the 3rd place. Congratulations also to everyone for their great kata performances!
