Bushido Karate School
There’s a rare opportunity to participate to training sessions kept by Risto Kiiskilä. The sensei of our school, Tony Wong has trained years under Kiiskilä’s lead and Risto is the most significant visiting teacher of our club. Risto’s belt grade is 6th Dan and he has lived in Frankfurt, Germany since 1969. His most notable achievements are two World Championship silver medals, three successive German Championships in years 1977-1979 and third place at open karate tournament in Japan. Risto runs his own karate club, Ippon in Frankfurt.
Risto is visiting Oulu October 12th 2011 and will host two training sessions: firsty, a session for juniors and lower belt grades at Koskela school 16:30-18:00 after which a longer session for higher belt grades (green – black) at Ritaharju school 18:30-21:00. For juniors the training session is free. For 14 years and older, the training session will cost 10 €. Below are the addresses for the training places.

Summer is not an excuse for stopping your karate training 🙂
During June and July, starting from 6.6. we are practicing and having a good time at Myllytulli school (Kirkkokatu 1, 90100 Oulu). Also, depending on the weather, we might train out doors at the near by Ainola park's grassfields, so make sure you bring your sneakers and something outdoory to wear.
The training is meant for all students in Bushido Karate School, adults and juniors alike. So everybody join the fun! 🙂

Regular season 2011-2012 starts at the end of August.
We are having an international summer camp at Posio between 3rd and 10th of July.
We are holding a weekend camp at the end of our spring semester. It's for all our students. At the end of the camp are the belt tests.
Sensei Jurgen Mosler (4. dan) is coming to Oulu to hold a two day karatecamp from 2.4. to 3.4. The camp is meant for all interested in International Shotokan Karate, including the new ones that are taking the beginner's courses. Juniors are welcomed as well!
